Project #1: REDISCOVERING AFRICA
The Centre for Gender and Social Inclusion is partnering with the Bisa Aberwa Museum where an illustrious Son of Ghana, Kwaw Ansah, a renowned film maker, has over the years collected and preserved works and artefacts of Pan-African leaders as a heritage to be used as educational materials for rethinking African heritage. He is willing to support this project with his museum and other legendary works to be used as educational tools to inform, educate, and reorient the youth of our society. It is our determination at this point to build our youth with time tested values by rolling out educational programs in schools, museum tours by school children and launch general public educational campaign dubbed: "Rediscovering Africa: Building resilience to sustainably preserve our African heritage for development"
HELP US REACH OUR GOAL:
$907, 854.00
PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
To organize cultural education programs and mobilize for purposes of raising awareness, encourage knowledge sharing and appreciation of African history and values to foster cultural identity among African students.
To organize educational tours to the Bisa Aberwa Museum and other historical attractions to enhance domestic tourism.
To undertake periodic reearch on creative/tourism related industry and best ways to promote African heritage and values.
PROJECT #2: Young Women's Support Group
Generally, teen pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of substance abuse, usually used as a means of managing the negative emotions associated with the pregnancy. Pregnant teenagers are often stigmatized in society.
WHAT DO WE NEED?
We need Cash donations to assist with school supplies, school fees & personal care.
At CEFGASI, we understand that abuse against underage and underprivileged children, youth or teenage pregnant girls aggrevates their plight. However, supportive home, school and community environments help promote total well-being for them for a better future. Among these underprivileged children and youth, teenage pregnancy has proven over the years to impact the growth and development, academic, social and health outcomes of many of these young females. In most cases, the psychosocial challenges associated with these pregnancies predispose the victims to mental health distresses during and after the pregnancies.

PROJECT #3: Temporary Housing For Abuse Survivors
Moreover, temporary housing plays a pivotal role in breaking the cycle of abuse. By offering a supportive environment, survivors can receive counseling, legal assistance, and other essential services that empower them to reclaim their independence and rebuild their lives free from violence.
Additionally, providing temporary housing addresses the practical challenges survivors face, such as homelessness or precarious living conditions, which can exacerbate their vulnerability to further abuse or exploitation.
Overall, temporary housing for domestic abuse survivors in Ghana is not just about providing shelter; it is about restoring dignity, safety, and hope to individuals who have experienced profound trauma, enabling them to embark on a path toward long-term healing and recovery.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

Educational Assistance
Mentorship & Guidance
Healthcare & Pre-Natal & Post-Natal Services
Our organization focuses on offering temporary and long-term housing solutions to individuals and families who have experienced various forms of abuse, ensuring they have a secure environment to begin their journey of healing and rebuilding their lives. Through compassionate care and empowerment programs, we aim to restore dignity, independence, and hope to every survivor we serve.
Providing temporary housing for domestic abuse survivors in Ghana is crucial for several compelling reasons. Firstly, it offers immediate safety and protection from ongoing threats of violence, providing survivors with a secure environment where they can begin to heal both physically and emotionally.
Secondly, temporary housing allows survivors the space and time needed to consider their options and make informed decisions about their future. This period of respite is critical for survivors to regain a sense of control over their lives and to plan their next steps without the pressure of immediate danger.
